Alright, fine, sure it’d hurt my feelings if you, my devoted reader, didn’t care for me personally though professionally I don’t care. I’m specifically referring to Facebook “likes”. The last few weeks I’ve been blogging about common mistakes I see and buying likes and/or running contests on Facebook is just another mistake.
2014 was a fantastic year for me personally and professionally. I’ve met so many wonderful individuals whom I am honored to call my clients and who have entrusted me with their social media strategies. For that, I thank you and am ever so grateful for you.
As we close 2014 out and welcome 2015 in, I believe it is important to establish goals for the coming year. In order to help you establish what some of these goals might be I have a gift for you below. This checklist will help you
Running your own business is S-T-R-E-S-S-F-U-L-L, the holidays can be even more S-T-R-E-S-S-F-U-L-L, so how do you juggle both without completely losing it? Between holiday parties, shopping, family get-togethers, it’s easy to fall off the grid all together. Your customers may not even notice your absence as they are likely just as busy as you, though you don’t want anyone…
With the new year around the corner, you may be thinking of your strategies and goals for 2015. Whether your are just getting started in social media, or if you feel your efforts aren’t as fruitful as you’d like, now’s a great time to re-evaluate. You know you need to maintain a presence on Social Media, but which site should you spend the most time on?
When I was a little girl I loved dancing, ballet, and WRITING! I was always scribbling my thoughts and ideas down on paper. I won awards in school for my writing and attended Young Author Society Conferences were I excelled as well. My first decade of life I decided I would become a journalist and do a lil dancing on the side. All was well in my world, not many people know what they want to do at age 30, let alone age 10.
Every morning on my way to dropping my children off at school, I pass an older gentleman in his 60’s running along a 3 mile stretch of wooded area. He always flashes us a gregarious smile as he enthusiastically waves hello. He displays this same bright smile to each passing vehicle, every morning, rain or shine. Regardless of how my morning is going, whether we are running late or I’ve just spilled coffee all over my white blouse, this man can always bring a smile to my face. I’ve never met or spoke to this man, but I like him.
Alright, perhaps that’s a little harsh, of course the competition is not your enemy! So why should you care what your competition is up to, anyhow? Your competition can be a great source of measuring your success, seeing what’s working (or not) for them, and motivation for you! You’ll gain a better understanding of what you could improve, how their audience and brand differs from yours and even what tactics are working for them that you may emulate.

Recently I came across a Facebook Business page of a woman who unknowingly had her home address and Ratings and Reviews enabled on her page; neither of which she wanted on the page. She had received a 3 star review, in my opinion…
Social media is so vital to our roles in growing our business yet can also cause a great deal of frustration when it seemingly won’t cooperate with what we want it to do. It leaves us yelling at our laptops and phones and sometimes having the urge to throw these devices across the room. Or is that just me? I digress. I’d like to walk you through a problem we encountered the other day and the simple fix. Now THAT’S Social Media SOLVED!
