What a great Idea, IKEA!

As you’re updating your Instagram with stunning visual content, you may find a frustration of this particular platform is the link back to your website isn’t as easily visible. Sure, the photos attract lots of attention, but users must go to your profile directly to view your website address.  In our fast paced world, your website may easily be overlooked on Instagram. Though, as I’ve mentioned previously, I still recommend adding this information to your profile.  If you need a refresher on how to add your website, go here.  

In my attempt to find a loophole, I thought I was being ingenious and clever when I began using the hashtag #keepingyourelevant, which is my website address.  IKEA put me to shame.  What they’ve done is sheer marketing genius, they created a website within Instagram. IKEA rolled out “IKEA PS”, a 34 piece designer collection without spending a dime on advertising!

We all know the importance of #hashtags, but not many people utilize the tagging function. IKEA found the loophole I had been searching for!  

Sometimes it’s just about getting creative and thinking outside the box.
